• Accountable a part of KOL management
• Lead scientific content and agendas for Ad Boards and round table discussions
• Lead medical activities related to Medical including identifying target meetings, developing scientific content for symposiums, speaker sessions or other activities (working with KOLs etc)
• Medical support with KOLs for discussions involving scientific literature & content
• Switch projects - map KOLs & association stakeholders and seek consultation pre-switch submission
• Medical claim development & substantiation
• Identify opportunities and, with alignment, generate new medical claim angles based on scientific literature in line with brand strategy for existing products and new product concepts during pre-development stages
• Promotional material co-development (with marketing) of medical claims and substantiation
• Non promotional materials creation
• Competitor intelligence related to medical claims and substantiation - monitor and prepare accordingly
• *LMR review of promotional materials
• Continuously screen and digest new literature & proactively share new data with brand teams.
• Actively engage and participate in industry bodies related to medical subcommittees and topics
• Sales force support at times to visit VIP doctors where medical explanations are required
• Implement sales force training programs related to product science and medical-related content
• Ongoing training of sales force (product, competitors, science - drills, exams etc.)
• Lead the develop clinical support data (if there is a need)
• New Product Launch support
• Seek formulation input & advice from KOLs
• Provide medical view on product concepts in context of competitor medical attributes,claims, positioning, use etc
• FAQ development
• Actively coach and develop team members
(Education / Experiences / Skills)
• Life Science or University Degree, preferably PharmD, PhD, Pharmacy, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or Doctor of Dental Medicine
• At least 3+ years’ experience in medical information and/or experience within a pharmaceutical or medical device company; or equivalent clinical experience required.
• At least 3+ years’ OTC, Consumer medical affairs and/or Product Development experience
• People management experience is preferable
• Excellent oral and written scientific communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret clinical study data
• Full understanding of all aspects of medical information
